We believe that giving is a fundamental need. Many generous people share this conviction, yet do not know where or how to channel it.
In Latin America, numerous initiatives are delivering outstanding humanitarian work, yet many have not yet gained the visibility they deserve.
At Microscopio® we identify these projects through a decentralised model and invest in their potential. Are you ready to join us?
It’s easy
We are the first non-profit project with its own automated account debit system, integrated into the electronic services of the most liquid bank in Central America. You can become an investor in just two minutes.
Fully transparent
We are the first non-profit project to use an “open-book” audit method, based on Apple’s iCloud. You can track, online and in real time, how all funds are managed, with full fiscal documentation to support every transaction.
It’s effective
We are the first initiative to function without costs, salaries, or banking commissions. The entirety of the operational budget is committed to those requiring protection. 100% of your investment serves to expand impact.
It’s holistic
We are the first non-profit project with its own nutritional assessment, supplementation, and monitoring system. Your contribution helps integrate protection and education with comprehensive child health care.

Meet Luis Hurtado, Founder and Director of Centro Walker (Rompiendo Esquemas Association)
Microscopio has been key to our growth as an organisation. Alongside additional funding that has allowed us to expand, it has also provided technical support, logistical assistance, and access to a community of inspiring people passionate about giving.
First…
We identify outstanding non-profit organisations and showcase their potential through photography, video, and on-site visits.
Second…
We invite engaged citizens to invest monthly in these organisations via an automated debit system, ensuring a stable and budgeted cash flow that supports essential services, salaries, and operational expenses.
Finally
Once an organisation becomes financially stable, we focus on strengthening its skills and expertise. We provide training in efficiency, cost-effectiveness, savings, and transparency, with the goal of achieving self-sustainability. When this is reached, investments are redirected to a new “Atom” with the same potential—creating a continuous cycle of impact.
At Microscopio, we connect investors with Atoms—those who need support—creating meaningful impact.
We know that investors expect their contributions to deliver results—especially financial ones. Transparency, efficiency, and measurable outcomes are essential. We believe that genuine care for others means giving of ourselves, which is why we dedicate time and close attention to our Atoms, helping them reach their full potential. Money is not the engine of development; capability is. By offering human warmth, care, and connection, we form a family. This empowers them to grow independently and, one day, choose their own path. We believe in self-sustainability and in “teaching them how to fish”.
Founded in 2018, Microscopio® is led by Roberto Carlos Mendoza.

These projects are growing and making a real impact. All that is missing is you. At Microscopio, we believe that giving is also a necessity… do you feel the same?

“Walker is a project based in San Lucas that supports children with disabilities or developmental challenges who are institutionalised in protective homes, as well as their adoptive families. The Centre was founded in 2017 by Luis and Paola de Hurtado, a married couple and psychologists who have devoted their professional lives to working with orphans and children from dysfunctional backgrounds. Currently, more than 100 children from 15 different homes receive free care, including speech therapy, physiotherapy, nutritional support, clinical psychology, and more.”

I discovered Microscopio thanks to its founder, Roberto Carlos, and I eagerly joined, inspired by the opportunity to donate to a cause that directly impacts the future of children in Guatemala. Watching the videos they share, showing how our donations make a difference in the lives of these children, fills me with hope and purpose. This NGO focuses on social projects with great potential to transform our country, and the passion and dedication of the team, led by Roberto Carlos, is truly contagious. I invite everyone to join this noble cause—every quetzal donated counts, and together we can build a better future for the children and our nation.
My experience with Microscopio has been truly enriching. They go beyond promoting isolated acts of support, focusing instead on fostering long-term commitment through continuous investment in the future of children. They stand out for their dedication to transparency and clear communication. Through concrete projects and tangible results, they demonstrate real engagement with the community. I have had the honour of witnessing positive and meaningful impacts in a short period of time. I highly recommend that anyone wishing to make a difference consider joining this organisation, and be part of a team committed to sustainable change.
Supporting Microscopio has been a great honour. When Roberto Carlos shared with me their mission of supporting various institutions and teaching them to become self-sustainable, I was amazed. It is not only about financial support; they also integrate multiple teaching methods that are of great value for their growth. For me, the impact they create on the quality of life of children is phenomenal—it is priceless. It is essential that we support them and, in some way, contribute to the change we wish to see in the wonderful people of Guatemala, especially in the future represented by our children. 💛
